Sketch Crawls

Please join us for our first sketch crawl of 2016! Weather permitting we will sketch on and around the Historic Dallas M-line Trolley Car line on the morning of March 12, 2016. The historic trolleys of the M-line are not only lovingly restored and climate-controlled, but they go through some of the most vibrant areas of downtown Dallas including the arts district and Uptown- and they are free to ride! So grab your sketchbook and click here for more info & to register today.

What is a sketch crawl? A sketch crawl is a get together where you use whatever illustration materials you're comfortable with (pens, pencils, watercolors, ect.) to draw and document what you see. These sketches are ment to be quick studies of your surroundings and are a great way to practice your illustration skills.

Tools: Sketchbook, easy-to-carry illustration tools, and if you have it, sometimes a folding drawing stool is nice!

About sketch crawls: Our sketch crawl is inspired by both Sketchcrawl and Urban Sketchers communities, both which operate events worldwide throughout the year. Open to all skill levels, there is no wrong way to participate in a sketch crawl. Draw, paint, or even write a sketch-description of what you see. The important part is to be present and document the world as you see it.

Here are some photos from our 2015 get-togethers!
